Condolence letters from the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and the CPC Jingjiang Municipal United Front Work Department, together with the Shengci Town People’s Government, mourn the passing of Ms. Liu Biru.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ms. Liu Biru, and we extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy.
Ms. Liu Biru was a renowned patriotic industrialist from Changzhou, a philanthropist devoted to social welfare, and a respected representative of women in Hong Kong. Throughout her life, she carried forward the Suzhou merchant spirit of her father, Mr. Liu Guojun — “virtue, culture, dedication, and innovation.” She wholeheartedly supported and assisted her husband, Mr. Cha Jimin, in his mission of serving the nation through textiles, embodying both the pursuit of truth and devotion to the silk industry. Together, they made outstanding contributions to China’s modernization, reform and opening, and to Hong Kong’s return and prosperity.
In Changzhou, Ms. Liu Biru donated generously to education, invested in industry, and promoted charitable causes, making remarkable contributions to the city’s development in construction, education, culture, and public welfare.
Ms. Liu Biru will forever be respected and remembered by the Changzhou Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, and the people.

We were deeply grieved to learn of the passing of patriotic industrialist and philanthropist Ms. Liu Biru. With heartfelt sorrow, we send this message of condolence to express our profound mourning.
Throughout her life, Ms. Liu Biru carried forward and embodied the spirit of her father, Mr. Liu Guojun — “virtue, culture, dedication, and innovation.” She actively supported and assisted her husband, Mr. Cha Jimin, in his textile endeavors, closely linking her personal career with the development of the nation, and through her actions gave true meaning to responsibility toward both family and country.
Deeply attached to her hometown and never forgetting her roots, Ms. Liu Biru donated to the restoration of Yuewang Temple, the Liu Guojun Former Residence, the vocational school library, and the teaching building of Liu Guojun Middle School. She also established scholarships at Liu Guojun Middle School, making immense contributions to the advancement of culture and education in Jingjiang. Her generosity and compassion lit countless lamps of hope.
Though she has passed, her patriotic spirit, industrial vision, and charitable heart will forever remain in the memory of future generations, enduring without end.
We wish Ms. Liu Biru peace on her final journey, and may her spirit live on eternally.
